VOCATIONAL
PROGRAMMES
Triple Vocational and T Levels:
• Study one subject
• Equivalent to three A Levels/AAQs
• Two-year course
Single Vocational Subjects:
• Study up to three subjects
• Combine with A Levels and AAQs
• Each subject is equivalent to one A Level/AAQ
• Double subjects available in Music Technology and
Performing Arts (two of your subject choices)
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
• Assessment is predominantly coursework with some
exam/externally assessed units
• GCSE English Language and Mathematics resit may be
taken where appropriate, alongside a main programme
of study
• Substantial industry placements for selected courses
A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 9-4, including
a grade 4 in GCSE English Language and a
minimum grade 3 in Mathematics.
Individual subjects have specific and higher entry
requirements.
Studying a Vocational Programme will appeal strongly
to students who:
• Have an interest in a career or a specific vocation
• Are keen to learn new skills through a mix of practical
and theoretical learning
• Find exams more challenging and are stronger in
their course work
• Have aspirations of progressing onto university,
employment or higher apprenticeships
